San Francisco-based Twilio expects fourth-quarter adjusted profit between $0.53 per share and $0.57 per share, compared with analysts' estimates of $0.36, according to LSEG data. The company's active customer accounts in the third quarter rose to 306,000 from 280,000 a year earlier. On an adjusted basis, Twilio earned $0.58 per share, compared with estimates of $0.35 per share.

Spending on cybersecurity services have stayed resilient amid growing cyber crimes and privacy concerns even as companies tightened the budgets for other IT services. Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Akamai expects fourth-quarter adjusted profit at about $1.57 per share, compared with analysts average estimate of $1.54 per share, according to LSEG data. The company reported revenue of $965 million and adjusted profit of $1.63 per share for the quarter ended Sept. 30. Nov 1 (Reuters) - Wireless connectivity chip maker Qorvo (QRVO.O) forecast third-quarter revenue and adjusted profit above Wall Street estimates on Tuesday, expecting a boost from its largest customer Apple (AAPL.O) ahead of an expected recovery in the smartphone market. The Greensboro, North Carolina-based company's biggest customer is Apple, which contributed 37% to the company's total revenue in fiscal 2023, ended April. Qorvo expects third-quarter adjusted profit of about $1.65 per share. The company sees third-quarter revenue of about $1 billion, plus or minus $25 million, compared with LSEG estimates of $992 million. Qorvo's revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $1.103 billion, while adjusted profit was $2.39 per share compared with analysts' estimate for revenue of $1 billion and adjusted profit of $1.77 per share.

Fitch affirms Sweden's 'AAA' ratings

Oct 27 (Reuters) - Fitch affirmed Sweden's long-term local and foreign currency debt rating of "AAA" on Friday, citing the country's sound public finances and policy framework. The ratings agency also affirmed Sweden's outlook at "stable" and kept its short-term foreign currency rating at "F1+". The agency upgraded Sweden's foreign currency rating to "AAA" in 2004 and it has remain unchanged since. Earlier this month, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan submitted a bill approving Sweden's NATO membership bid to parliament for ratification. Sweden had applied for a NATO membership alongside Finland last year, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Aug 1 (Reuters) - Barcode scanner maker Zebra Technologies (ZBRA.O) forecast third-quarter adjusted profit widely below market estimates on Tuesday as economic uncertainty hit corporate tech spending. The company, whose customers include the U.S. Postal Service and Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA.O), expects quarterly adjusted profit between 60 cents and $1 per share, compared with estimates of $3.77 per share, according to Refnitiv. Its operating expenses decreased to $344 million in the second quarter ended June 30, from $370 million a year earlier. Adjusted profit for the reported quarter came in at $3.29 per share, compared with estimates of $3.28.

"Demand is recovering very gradually," Woohyun Kim, chief financial officer at SK Hynix, said on an earnings call this week. "The recent improvement in PC shipments has been mainly led by promotions and low-end models, meaning it provided limited impact on chip demand recovery," he said, adding that shipment forecasts for PCs and smartphones this year have been downgraded from earlier predictions. July 27 (Reuters) - Internet services firm Verisign (VRSN.O) reported higher second-quarter revenue on Thursday on steady demand for its domain-name registry services and increasing reliance on internet infrastructure. The company reported second-quarter revenue of $372 million, compared with $351.9 million a year ago. Verisign posted a profit of $1.79 per share in the April-June period, higher than $1.54 per share in year-ago period. Meanwhile, it processed 174.4 million domain-name registrations, compared with 174.3 million in the second quarter of 2022. KLA expects first-quarter revenue above estimates on AI boom

July 27 (Reuters) - Chip-making tools maker KLA Corp (KLAC.O) forecast first-quarter revenue and profit above Wall Street estimates on Thursday, boosted by higher investments in artificial intelligence (AI), sending its shares up nearly 3% after the bell. KLA makes tools for inspecting the silicon wafer discs, on which semiconductors are built, for defects. The company, forecast first-quarter adjusted profit of $5.35 per share, plus or minus 60 cents. In the quarter ended June 30, revenue came in at $2.36 bln while adjusted profit was $5.40 per share. That compared with analysts' estimate for revenue of $2.26 bln and adjusted profit of $4.85.

July 26 (Reuters) - ServiceNow (NOW.N) reported quarterly revenue above Wall Street estimates on Wednesday, boosted by a growing demand for its artificial intelligence solutions. The rising demand for workflow automation and the company's continued efforts to expand its portfolio with new generative AI solutions helped drive growth. The company forecast third-quarter subscription revenue in the range of $2.19 billion to $2.20 billion. July 26 (Reuters) - Contract chipmaker Tower Semiconductor topped second-quarter revenue estimates on Wednesday on the back of solid demand from the automotive industry, sending its U.S.-listed shares up 12.7%. Israel-based Tower provides customers with analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, mainly for the automotive and consumer industries. Its revenue came in at $357 million for the quarter ended June 30, higher than the $354.53 million expected by analysts, according to Refinitiv data. Tower reported net income per share of 46 cents, falling slightly short of analysts' estimates of 49 cents per share. During the quarter, the company repaid $10 million of its debt, as compared with $27 million in the first quarter of 2023.

July 24 (Reuters) - Cadence Design Systems Inc (CDNS.O) on Monday raised its full-year revenue forecast to slightly above Wall Street estimates, as a surge in artificial intelligence (AI) innovation fueled demand for custom semiconductor design. But the company's current quarter forecast had a midpoint slightly below analyst estimates, sending shares down 4.4% at $230.60 in after-hours trading. Cadence forecast full-year revenue between $4.05 billion and $4.09 billion, largely above analysts' average estimate of $4.06 billion, according to Refinitiv data. Lordstown Motors founder sells remaining stake in EV startup

June 22 (Reuters) - Lordstown Motors (RIDE.O) founder and former CEO Stephen Burns has sold his entire stake in the electric-vehicle maker, according to a regulatory filing. The company in May implemented a reverse stock split to comply with Nasdaq's minimum $1 listing requirement and appease investor Foxconn (2317.T) that had threatened to scrap a $170 million funding in the cash-strapped company. Burns has sold his stake in three transactions between May and June, about 581,000 shares were divested before the reverse stock split and 791,572 shares after, the filing on Wednesday showed. The EV startup declined to comment on the stake sale. Earlier this month, Lordstown Motors said it planned to take legal action against Taiwanese contract manufacturer Foxconn to ensure the planned purchase of nearly 10% of the company's shares was not derailed.

June 2 (Reuters) - Major U.S. wireless carriers on Friday said they not in talks with Amazon.com Inc (AMZN.O) to offer low-cost wireless services to its Prime members. "AT&T is not in discussions with Amazon to resell wireless services," a company spokesperson said. Verizon spokesperson the company "is not in negotiations with Amazon regarding the resale of (Verizon's) wireless network. Brandon Nispel of KeyBanc Capital Markets said Dish Network, a relatively new entrant in wireless, could be the most likely partner for Amazon. Talks between Amazon and Dish were reported last week. The reported talks come as Amazon faces a slowdown in new sign-ups for the Prime service, its key loyalty program that offers subscribers faster shipping and video streaming. For telecom companies, a resell partnership with Amazon could serve as a means to attract new users and boost revenue.
